Hello and Thanks.
First of all, I'd like to thank Dale Jackson for having the wherewithal to start an Alabama talkers blog and, most importantly, for choosing a blog template with spell check. Regardless of what Talk radio folk want you to believe, we aren't good at everything. I happen to excel at a most endeavors. My spelling, however, sucks.
Secondly, thanks for inviting me to participate. For those unfamiliar with my show in Birmingham (Alabama) at WAPI 1070 AM please check out my profile and email at will. (matt@murphyshow.com) You'll find I'm not only the best, but also the most humble talk show host in the state. I'd be happy to further any discussion (blog or on air) at my leisure.
Finally, and sincerely, I'd like to thank all of you who believe in the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution who make talk radio possible. I fundamentally believe forums like talk radio and blogs such as this one will keep the concept of individual freedom, liberty and the ability to strongly (and sometimes angrily) disagree alive in America -- alive during a time that many lawmakers and citizens would like to snatch those freedoms away (i.e. fairness doctrine, "hate" speech et. al.)
I hope to write/blog on a daily basis...so every other day is almost a guarantee. I can't imagine who would want to read it. Of course, I also can't imagine why anyone would want to listen to some loud-mouthed self-centered ass on the radio...but enough about Dale Jackson. (I kid because i love)
Thanks again. Back soon. TTFN.
