Bud Cramer: Conservative Blue Dog or Pelosi's Lap Dog...

A lot has been made about State Senator Parker Griffith being the heir apparent to Representative Bud Cramer's conservative "Blue Dog" label in North Alabama. Well, if Griffith wants to use Cramer as an ally in his election battle against Wayne Parker he may want to tell Cramer to stop proving that "Blue Dog Democrats" still vote with "Nancy Pelosi Democrats" 93% of the time.

Case in point, while Congress Republicans in Congress were trying to have a debate on energy Nancy Pelosi and most of her fellow Democrats, including Representative Cramer voted to go home.

The vote to leave was 213 to 212, if Bud Cramer was truly as independent as he tries to imply he is wouldn't he had voted to have a debate on the "American Energy Act" instead of going home because Nancy Pelosi wanted to? If we had a conservative Representative from AL-05 wouldn't Congress be working next week?

What would Parker Griffith have done? Tune in to News Talk 770AM/92.5FM WVNN on Monday at 6:30 AM and and find out. Would Griffith support the silly games by Nancy Pelosi, including shutting off lights and mics as Republicans held a protest Friday:
Right at the stroke of five Georgia Rep. Tom Price announced that House Republicans were ending their impromptu protest on the floor of the chamber, ending a five-plus hour rebellion with a round of "God Bless America."

The assembled tourists, aides and members in the chamber gave Price and his compatriots a standing ovation. They left the chamber to shouts of "USA! USA! USA!"
Or would he join Republicans on the House floor tomorrow?

Oh and please stop the "this will do nothing to lower gas prices now" crap. No kidding, because it will take time to explore and drill. What it will do is help keep them down in the future or slow any increases.

Will it do anything tomorrow? No.

5 years from now? Yes.

I heard your interview with Mr. Giffith this morning and wondered if he got a rash from riding the fence. A democrat that will not endorse his parties candidate or vice versa is a fence rider and as such should not be trusted. If he basically disagrees on the issues with Barack Obama he should switch parties or run as an independent. Stand for something.
