Sounds like a great time to admit to being a lecherous dirtbag who is cheating on your dying wife.

I can honestly say I didn't buy it at first, maybe it was the fact that cancer is killing his wife that made me not want it to be true.

Sadly it was true. John Edward's has all the sincerity of Bill Clinton and I guess that should of been a tip-off to his character.

His denials should of tipped us off:

"I have no idea what you're asking about," Edwards said. "I have responded to, consistently, to these tabloid allegations by saying I don't respond to these lies."

Sound familiar?

The National Enquirer broke this story a year ago and the media ignored this thing like the plague.

Probably because of his wife's cancer, which will now become the focal point of the coverage.

I have already heard some variation of this statement this at least three times:

The media may have been hesitant to go after this because of the health of his wife.

Translation: the media was in the tank for Edwards. And the press should be killing him right now because he did this while his wife was dying.
